To publish your e-show to a non-Alive e-Show Server
- From the File menu, choose Publish to Web.
The Publish to Web wizard begins.
- In step 1, select To any other kind of server or a shared file folder; then click Next.
- In step 2, select a connection speed for your e-show; then click Next. For more information on
connection speeds, see Choosing a connection speed.
- In step 3, select Just a Web site; then click Next. If you are running a RealServer and you want
to use it to play your media files, you should should select A Web server and a RealServer.
- In step 4, select A folder, either shared or local; then in the Copy slides to this folder box,
type the fully qualified path to the shared or local folder or click Browse to display
the Open Folder dialog box so that you can locate a specific folder.
The fully qualified path must include the server name and the name of the shared folder.
For example, \\ServerName\Publish\e-showName
.
- In the URL to the Web folder showing the e-show, type the Web address that your audience will use to
access this e-show. For example,
http://www.companyname.com/e-shows/StatusReport
.
- Click Finish to publish your e-show.
After clicking Finish, your e-show will be copied to the specified folder. Alive e-Show will display the Publication Complete dialog box when it has finished publishing your e-show. You can use this dialog box to view your e-show, copy the URL to the e-show, and delete any media files you may have recorded.
Note
- If you are publishing to a RealServer, you must manually copy the files to the RealServer folder you specified.
